Labata Fantalle Organization Distributes Food Assistance
With a generous support from the Oromo Canadian Community, a targeted food assistance operation was successfully implemented by Labata Fantalle Organization (LaFO) to support 75 Karrayyu pastoralist women, who have been facing acute food insecurity due to prolonged drought, recent earthquake incidents and limited market access. Each of the female-headed household received 50kg of grain food and 3 liters of edible oil that is believed to smoothen the supported households’ consumption for a month or two based on their family size. LaFO is grateful to the Oromo Canadian Community who generously provided this assistance that enabled the distribution of these food items for the affected and vulnerable community members.
